Town of Halton Hills warns residents of new text scam

The Town of Halton Hills is warning the community after several residents reported receiving fraudulent text messages regarding parking tickets.

According to the Town, the text includes a link to a website that is not affiliated with them.

Additionally, the Town is reminding residents that they do not contact the public via text messages.

“Be vigilant of frauds and scams and learn how to identify and report with Halton police,” advised the Town on Twitter.
