The Town of Halton Hills has reinstalled traffic bollards on Wildwood Rd.

This has been done due to intentional removal by members of the public.

The purpose of these bollards was meant to reduce the operating speed along the roadway, which was in response to various speed complaints that staff have received in the past.

“Traffic bollards are proven and effective in reducing operating speeds. Unlike more intrusive traffic calming measures, bollards allow the passage of emergency vehicles and are seasonally removed to allow for effective winter maintenance on busy roadways,” said the Town of Halton Hills on Twitter.

“The Town will not tolerate theft of any kind and would like to kindly remind the public that anyone caught damaging or stealing Town property is subject to and may be prosecuted. Any member of the public that witnesses this type of behaviour is encouraged to contact the Town.”
