The Town of Halton Hills is inviting residents to participate in programs to honour the history, knowledge, creativity and diversity of Indigenous peoples in Canada.

The programs are being offered by Cultural Services and the Halton Hills Public Library throughout the month of June for Indigenous History Month.

“I encourage the community to participate in Indigenous programming offered throughout June, and to take an active role in learning about the experiences of Indigenous peoples in our country,” said Bonnette.

“Engaging with diverse cultural programming is an important step toward creating a more diverse and inclusive community in Halton Hills.”

Programs include film screenings, lectures, beadwork displays and more.

All programs will be free unless otherwise noted.
