Town of Halton Hills hosting event for community volunteers

The Town of Halton Hills will be hosting an event this week to celebrate and honour local volunteers.
The celebration will be hosted by the Town of Halton Hills on Thursday, June 16 and will feature entertainment, refreshments and games.
The event, which is taking place at Dominion Gardens Park, is meant to celebrate the contributions of local volunteers who make Halton Hills a more caring, connected and compassionate community.
“I look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces at this favourite, annual event,” said Mayor Rick Bonnette about the event.
“Recognizing our volunteers is particularly important given the hardships that people have had to endure through the past two years of the pandemic. I am pleased we can gather for this wonderful celebration!”
Council members will be in attendance, but there will be no formal ceremony.
