The Town of Milton’s Development Services Department has scheduled a virtual statutory public meeting to discuss a proposed mixed-use building.

The applicant, 2587523 Ontario Inc., has submitted applications for a local official plan and zoning by-law amendments for the lands located on the north side of Nipissing Rd.

The proposed development is a 19-storey mixed-use building containing 271 apartment dwelling units and 46.3 square metres of commercial/retail space located on the ground floor.

A total of three levels of underground parking are proposed with vehicle access to the site via Nipissing Rd. The proposal includes a total of 335 vehicle parking spaces, 62 of which would be for visitors as well as 245 bicycle parking spaces.

In terms of amenity space for the subject site, a total of 1,529 square metres is proposed, 443 square metres of which would be located indoors and 1,086 square metres outdoors.

As a result, a local official plan amendment would be required to permit the proposed height and a zoning by-law amendment in order to add site-specific zoning requirements to facilitate the development.

The meeting is set to take place on Monday, Dec. 13 at 7:00 p.m.

While members of the public are being invited to provide their input at the public meeting, a decision on this application will not be made by Milton Council that day.

Those interested in participating may fill out the delegate request form. For assistance filling out the form, email the Town or call 905-878-7252 ext. 0. Forms must be submitted by Dec. 9, 2021, at 12:00 p.m.
