Toronto Police have arrested a 36-year-old woman wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Brampton man last month.
Police say the incident happened on the morning of Sept. 1 at an after-hours club near Eglinton Avenue West and Times Road in midtown Toronto.
Police were called to the scene around 6:19 a.m., where they found 37-year-old Triston McNally suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders performed first-aid and rushed McNally to the hospital, but he later died of his injuries.
A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Stacey Downey of Toronto, who was wanted for first-degree murder in the killing of McNally.
Approximately 48 days after the incident, officials announced Downey’s arrest on Saturday (Oct. 19). She has since been charged with first-degree murder, police noted.
Toronto police are continuing to investigate the case and have asked anyone with information to contact them or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.
