Toronto man charged in Brampton shooting

Police have charged a young man from Toronto for allegedly shooting a house in Brampton earlier this year.

In the early morning hours of Jan. 7, police say a man at a residence in the area of Goreway Dr. and Castlemore Rd. in Brampton fired a gun.

There were no physical injuries reported, but police say a home was struck by gunfire during the shooting.

Peel Regional Police conducted an investigation with assistance from the Toronto Police Service and have identified the alleged shooter as Deandre Cadougan.

On Tuesday, Cadougan, 19, of Toronto was charged with one count of discharging a firearm and made an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
