A Toronto man was arrested in Oshawa last weekend after allegedly running from the scene of a car crash.

Durham Regional Police officers arrived the crash scene at King St E and Harmony Rd near Lifepoint Church on May 14. A stolen red pick up truck crashed into another vehicle. While trying to leave to scene the truck hit a second car.

The driver hopped out of the truck and made a break for it on foot. DRPS brought in their K9 unit to track the man down and he was arrested shortly thereafter.

An 18-year-old man from Toronto is charged with dangerous operation, motor vehicle theft, failure to stop after a collision, two counts of failure to comply with a release order and possession of property obtained by crime.
