Toronto Doctor Arrested and Charged with Murder in Mississauga

A Toronto doctor was recently arrested and charged with the murder of his wife (also a doctor) at a Mississauga coffee shop in the Lakeshore and Hurontario area.
Toronto police report that on Thursday, Dec 1 at 3:30 p.m., York Regional police were called to investigate reports of human remains in the Nashville Road and Highway 27 area in Kleinberg, Ont.
The remains belonged to Elana Shamji, a 40-year-old Toronto woman.
On Friday, Dec. 2, 40-year-old Mohammad Shamji was arrested in Mississauga and charged with first degree murder.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Toronto today.
