Marc Jacobs brings New York fashion to Square One in Mississauga

A major New York fashion designer will soon be opening one of his stores at Mississauga’s Square One.
Marc Jacobs, who has worked at such fashion houses as Perry Ellis and Louis Vuitton before branching out on his own, will see his branded shop open in the mall later this year.
Known for his tailored approach to pop culture trends, Jacobs is often credited with launching the “grunge” look of the 1990s when he looked to the music that was developing in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and turned out top models of the day in dressed-down apparel that ultimately appealed to a wide audience.
The Mississauga store is expected to showcase a full-range of designer creations such as ready-to-wear clothes, handbags, fragrances and cosmetics.
