1) Kariya Park
Kariya Park is a Japanese garden named after Mississauga’s sister city Kariya, in Japan. You can find rhododendrons, pines, ginkgo, sweetgum trees and cherry blossoms in this tranquil park that lies in the bustling downtown core of the city. Take a stroll through the garden, enjoy the peaceful setting of Lake Ontario and explore this hidden gem. Visit in late April or early May to see the cherry blossoms in bloom.
2) Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens
Have you ever wanted to see Canada’s largest rhododendron garden? Head out to Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens to wander through the beautiful gardens and appreciate the rhododendrons on display. The garden is open year-round however, the best time to visit is from early May to the end of June when the rhododendrons are in full bloom.

3) Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Garden
If you’re already at Celebration Square, look for this small garden across from the splash pad. As a favourite spot for wedding photography, the garden is also perfect for a quick stroll or a great spot to relax in nature. It was renamed to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen’s 50th Anniversary of Her Accession to The Throne.
4) Riverwood Park
Home to more than 475 species of animals and plants, this unique all-season park offers scenic woodland trails, an art exhibition and beautiful gardens.
