5. Mickeys Pizza
The only pizza joint that has been visited by “You Gotta Eat Here” is Mickey’s Pizza, and with good reason. Located in the quaint village of Clarkson, this unassuming pizza joint is a real killer. Just look out for their mascot — a giant inflatable green dragon perched on top of the building. Mickey’s serves traditional pizzas plus what they call a “Killer King,” which is a deep dish Chicago-style pizza for the hungry Chi Town-style pizza lovers. They use the best ingredients possible. The dough is made in house, they use ingredients like extra virgin olive oil and they cook their meat right on the grill before it goes into your pizza.

4. Border MX
This one of the few and best Mexican food joints in Mississauga. The chef is from Mexico, so she knows her stuff and makes truly authentic dishes in her Mexican kitchen. The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes, including fajitas, tamales, flautas and pork carnitas. Friday and Saturday nights are reserved for Chef Rico’s regional Mexican specials such as Tongue Tacos (self-explanatory) and Pozole (a soup made of pork or chicken broth with hominy and other garnishes). The somewhat newly-opened Streetsville resto benefits from prime spot in one of the city’s best neighbourhoods, friendly service and a reliably delicious menu. They also offer the best churros in Streetsville, which is described as a “srispy and crunchy deep fried goodness with a dulce de leche on the side and service with a smile.”

3. Door FiftyFive
Ever since this place opened, it has been crazy. Even on weeknights, when other bars in the area are dead, this place is bursting at the seams with people and for good reason. Every aspect of this place -- including the space and menu -- has been designed with the utmost thought to detail. The resto is known for its expanding menu that focuses southern classics, such as chicken and waffles, Rub Me the Right Way beef brisket, Boars Gone Wild smoked sausage, the boss platter (BBQ sampler platter) and more. All of meat is smoked with SmokinLicious’ cherry wood and sugar maple wood chips, which “gives a nice sweetness to meat.”

2. Holy Smokez BBQ Sandwich
Calling all chicken lovers! Located in a strip plaza on Dundas between Tomken and Dixie, Holy Smokez BBQ Sandwiches is a truly unique. This is one of the only BBQ style joints in Mississauga. All the sandwiches are not only barbequed, but cooked over indirect heat and smoked with wood for as long as 18 hours. You will find BBQ sandwiches such as Smoked Sausage, Pulled Pork, and Pork “N” Slaw.

1. Papa Giuseppe’s
If you are looking for a great restaurant in the heart of Port Credit, then look no further If you are one of the lucky people who actually get a seat, you are in for a treat. This place has a rustic Italian-inspired dining room and is a great spot to enjoy your pizza, which is cooked in a stone oven. Papa Giuseppe’s also serves house-made gnocchi and we can never say no to that. They also serve a selection of antipasti, including insalata caprese, and a wide selection of pastas including Nona’s Pasta Campania or carbonara (marche). They also have a really nice patio at the back of the restaurant.
