Top 5 chicken wing spots in Mississauga

Over the years, the Mississauga food landscape has changed a lot and chicken wing joints are no different.
We have searched high and have been to dozens of bars, restaurants and take-out spots to give you the top 5 chicken wings spots in Mississauga.
This isn’t a chicken wing place, but the Clarkson Pump makes good wings. “World Famous Wings and Things” is The Pump’s motto and is emblazoned right on their menu. World famous is a bold statement that I can’t vouch for, but I will say that they are definitely Mississauga famous. The wings are very flavorful and cooked perfectly. They only have the basic flavours of BBQ, Medium, Hot, Suicide, Honey Garlic, Southern Cajun, Dry Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Hot & Honey, but they all taste good.
The restaurant, located at 1706 Dundas Street East, specializes in some of the best pizza and wings in the city. The menu features 1 lb, 2 lb, 3 lb, and 5 lb chicken wings with a huge variety of classic and unique flavours: Honey mustard, cajun ranch, butter chicken, garlic parmesan and more.
For the thrill seekers who love some heat with their wings, there’s the extra spicy “Chicken on Fire” and the extremely spicy “Bloody Mary” with extra hot green chillies.
Chicken N Dough also has pizza with a variety of toppings, and sides including fries, cajun fries, onion rings, cheesy garlic bread and more. There’s also multiple pountine options including wings poutine, pizza poutine and shawarma poutine.
3 – Game Time Eatery and Entertainment
Located in one of the hardest plazas to find in Mississauga on Dundas near Dixie is Game Time Eatery (formerly Wacky Wings). This place is the like a Chucke Cheez for adults, minus the screaming kids (but add shouting adults). There are video games, pool tables and TVs everywhere. It’s a great place to watch sports with your buddies, as it’s huge. The five flavours I had were marked as some of the “TOP PICKS” and included Hong Kong Honey Garlic, Sweet & Spicy Thai, Jalapeno, Garlic Parm Caesar, Tequila Lime.
2 – Fred’s Bar and Grill
This is one of the best-kept secrets in Mississauga until this article. You can find this bar/restaurant hidden in a small plaza in Central Mississauga. Fred’s does not serve up a bad vantage point for sports watching as it has TV’s everywhere you look. It serves up great food and has great service. This little place is great for chillin’, hanging out, watching sports and maybe even taking a date to.
1 – Wingporium
This joint isn’t too big and boasts TVs mounted everywhere and a patio in the summer that looks like it would double capacity if it was open. The wings were breaded and cooked to perfection, and the sauces were all made in-house. The flavours are sectioned off into dry, mild, medium, hot and suicide, so I had one from each section, and all were delicious until we couldn’t feel our mouths anymore.
