The choice of restaurant is important in a business lunch and Mississauga has a lot of good choices. You don’t really want to experiment with cuisines here and you want a menu that has some variety in food.
Here are the top 5 places for a business lunch in Mississauga:
5 – Union Social
(North–west Mississauga)
Located in the North West end of Mississauga by the huge Royal Bank building off the 401 is a “non-chain” restaurant called Union Social Eatery. The restaurant has an airy, open concept feel with a bar lined with large flat screen TV’s that’s on centre stage. It is the ideal spot to catch a game and have a pint. The lounge area is to the right and the dining area to the left. This is perfect for more of a casual business meeting.
Price range: $12.98 to $19.87
4 – Port 229
(Port Credit)
Port 229 Artisan Bistro launched a brand new lunch menu to over the past month. This place creates authentic, homemade dishes prepared with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. The food will always be a topic of conversation, as one of the most creative chefs in Mississauga executive chef Dialo Kinghorn creates the incredible dishes. This is a smaller restaurant so make sure you make reservations.
Price range: $10.95 to $17.95
3 – Stir
(City Centre)
Stir is a spacious and open concept venue has exposed ceilings adorned with a myriad of chandeliers and ceiling art and is enveloped in warm colours making the space inviting. The large floor to ceiling windows of this corner unit allows a flood of natural sunlight into the space for the daytime crowd and in the evenings, the space is transformed with soft lighting and various wall mount fireplaces. For bigger corporate functions there is a also a private room that can sit 70 people.
Price range: $5 to $14.95 for the lunch menu
2 – Alioli Ristorante
(City Centre)
Located in the heart of Mississauga’s City Centre is Alioli’s Italian Restaurant, one of the few restaurants in the City Centre area that is independently owned. Alioli’s has been around since 1996, right after Biritz Night Club closed down. I can’t believe i remembered that. Alioli’s, is one of the highest end restaurant around the City Centre and is great for corporate business lunches. With the price point leaning on the higher scale, I’d save this restaurant for that “big deal”.
Price range: $19 to $37
1 – Cagneys
(Streetsville)
Cagneys is located in the heart of Streetsville, a staple to this area of Mississauga, and the restaurant had undergone a $1.2 million facelift last year, in addition to a menu change. The place is unrecognizable but welcomed by the locals and a new wave of diners. With the $1.2 million dollar renos they wanted to make the place more modern so they put USB chargers and power outlets throughout the bar area. So if you are presenting something to a potential client this would be more than ideal.
