Top 5 Bike Shops in Mississauga
Skiis and Biikes
Skiis and Biikes is just that, a ski and bike shop! With many locations across Canada, their mantra is "service, service, service." Along with the bikes and skis, they also sell footwear and clothing as well as offering a service for your skis or snowboards. They have a variety of biking gear, and over 10 different dependable bicycle brands can be found at Skiis and Biikes, each with its own lifetime service plan. They recently implemented a huge footwear selection in each of their stores and now offer a great selection of hiking, biking and sports shoes. On Christmas Eve of 1989, the Mississauga store was flooded with 4" of water, but that didn't stop them from having a line down the block on Boxing day. Skiis and Biikes are all about helping customers find what is right for them, which is a rare quality to find in a store these days. Their well-educated staff can answer any questions you may have about biking, and it doesn't even matter if you're a beginner or an advanced rider. Skiis and Biikes also has good end-of-season sales and offers various seasonal coupons on their website, which is always being updated.

Just outside of Port Credit resides GEARS Bike Shop, which has been around since 1988. It started out as a small shop in the Clarkson train station, and has now turned into a huge store that is well-known around Mississauga for its professional and educated staff, as well as their passion for the cycling community. GEARS is now one of the largest bicycle retailers in the GTA with locations in Mississauga, Toronto and soon-to-be Oakville (grand opening April 14th). GEARS has more than 400 different bicycles on display in their store year round, and offers the best of the best products and brands. Inside the GEARS store is a Burton Boutique for all your snowboard and snowboard equipment needs, and they can also service both snowboards and skis (although they don't sell skis). GEARS is all about helping out local charities with fundraisers, and with that, they have supported many local causes: Mississauga Senators PeeWee hockey, Waterfront Festival, Port Credit Yacht Club Summer Sail Program, Port Credit Terry Fox Run and many more.

The Bike Zone is a true bike shop, as they don't close or switch to winter sports in the wintertime; it is a bike shop all year round. They offer full bikes, frames, parts and accessories, as well as biking gear and videos. Their knowledgeable staff can tell you where to ride and help you with anything bike related. It's not all about mountain biking at The Bike Zone as they also sell cruisers, BMXs, road and hybrid bicycles. What makes The Bike Store unique is their dedicated bicycle servicing: they are very proud to be focused on quick turnaround times so you're not apart from your bike for long. For bike servicing, they offer the following: tune-ups; drive-train cleaning; installation of all parts or accessories; bike packaging for shipping or traveling; bike fitting; custom building. Just a few minutes from Square One, The Bike Store has been around since 1981, serving Mississauga's bicycle needs for more than 30 years. This isn't a shop for just competitive riders; anybody who is into bikes would love this store. The Bike Store stocks only the best brands year round, and their awesome staff will help with all your cycling questions or concerns. The Bike Store used to be called Cyclepath (which is a way cooler name in my opinion) and they carry everything bicycle-related. More than 8 brands of bicycles alone, cycling gear, accessories, baby bike seats and indoor trainers can be found at The Bike Store. They also have a great "buy back" program: if you're done using products sold under this program, The Bike Store will buy them back from you, and in return give you credits towards products in their shop. Most children's products are under this program, which is great for families with growing kids. The Bike Store has tons of deals after Christmas on last season's gear, bikes, summer clothes, parts and accessories which can be up to 25% off.
