With the huge positive response to Pfizer Friday, Peel Public Health is continuing appointments this weekend in Mississauga for residents to receive the first or second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

There were 300 slots available on Saturday and another 300 will be open today (Sunday, July 18) at The International Centre at 6900 Airport Rd.

Appointments are available at booking-peel.secure.force.com. Appointments are available from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday (July 17) and 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday (July 18).

While it runs contrary to the medical expertise, Peel Public Health is allowing residents who had a Pfizer first dose to specify that they wish to receive it for their second.

Pfizer is currently the only vaccine that it is approved for youths age 12 to 17 to receive.
