Ticats sign veteran Canadian receiver Lemar Durant to CFL contract

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed free-agent Canadian receiver Lemar Durant on Monday.

Durant, 29, was released by the B.C. Lions on Jan. 21.

Durant played nine games with B.C. last season, registering 24 catches for 263 yards while also rushing once for 18 yards.

The six-foot-two, 218-pound Vancouver native has appeared in 74 career regular-season games over six CFL seasons with Calgary (2015-18) and B.C. (2019, 2021). He has 183 catches for 2,353 yards and 13 TDs.

Durant was named the top Canadian of the 2018 Grey Cup game when Calgary defeated Ottawa 27-16.
