Thunderstorms and hail could be on the way in southern Ontario.
The storms are expected this afternoon and evening for most of southern Ontario, according to a post from the Environment and Climate Change Canada.
For parts of southern Ontario, these storms may produce large hail and strong wind gusts, Environment Canada said.
The current forecast is a 60 per cent chance of showers this afternoon with a risk of a thunderstorm in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Durham Regions and Hamilton.
The Weather Network also notes the possibility of “severe thunderstorms across portions of southern Ontario.”
But they predict the worst part of the storms will be west of the GTA, particularly southwestern Ontario and north into cottage country.
