Thunderstorm in the weekend forecast for southern Ontario

Enjoy the sunny weather today, a thunderstorm is in the weekend weather forecast for southern Ontario.
It is expected to be sunny and hot today (May 24) with a high of 26 C feeling like 27 C with the humidex in Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington and slightly cooler in Durham Region, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
It will feel close to 29 C in Hamilton today.
On Saturday, cloudy skies are expected to roll in during the morning. There is a 60 per cent chance of showers in the late morning with a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon for much of the GTA.
It will also be hot with a high of 25 C, feeling more like 30 C in Durham Region and 27 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville and around 29 C in Hamilton.
Cloudy weather is expected to continue overnight on Saturday.
Sunday might be the best day of the weekend. Clear, sunny skies are forecasted with a high of 25 C in much of the GTA.
The rainy weather may move back in on Monday.
