Thunderstorm warning Mississauga

There is no relief from the heat in sight for Mississauga and Brampton residents as temperatures for the week remain above 25 degrees Celsius almost every day.

Today (Aug 7) there was a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 33. Humidex values soared across the province with real-feel temperatures hitting 42 degrees Celsius.

An ample amount of atmospheric moisture combined with high humidex values could cause thunderstorms overnight that produce torrential rainfall, increasing the chance of flooding.

Monday (Aug 8) is expected to bring showers with a 70 per cent chance predicted. With the humidity, the temperature will feel like 37 degrees Celsius. The heat is not expected to break with the afternoon storm.

There is a local amount of 15 to 25 mm of rain expected.

A mix of sun and cloud returns on Tuesday (Aug 9) with a high of 24 degrees Celsius and a low of 16 overnight.

Wednesday will be all sun all day with a high of 28. The clear, sunny skies stick around for the rest of the week with Thursday reaching a high of 27 degrees Celsius and Friday and Saturday sitting at around 25 degrees Celsius.
