Three-year-old child drowns in Ajax residential area

A three-year-old girl drowned in a backyard pool in Ajax’s Rossland Rd W and Harwood Ave area. today (May 17).
While police gave no idea of the timeframe, they responded to a call in that neighbourhood, transported the child to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The child’s identity was not released as Durham Police noted, “At this time we are requesting privacy for the family. Our thoughts are with the family and all emergency personnel.”
