Three separate shootings Monday night in Hamilton

Hamilton Police is investigating three separate shootings that took place within the span of about an hour Monday night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a shooting that occurred on Mohawk Rd and Magnolia Dr. 

Police responded to an Air B&B location and confirmed that one of the occupants negligently discharged a firearm within the residence causing minor damage. The suspect is described as a five-foot-nine white male in his 30s with an average build. No one sustained injuries in relation to this incident.

Ten minutes later, police responded to a second shooting in the area of Main St. East and Holton Ave.

One person was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as five-foot-1o Black with short dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue tracksuit and white sneakers.

At approximately 11:50 p.m., police responded to a third shooting that occurred in the area of Douglas and Mars avenues. 

Officers confirmed that multiple shots were fired into a residence. No one sustained physical injuries in relation to this incident.

Police are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 11:15 p.m. and midnight for suspicious activity.
