Three people injured in house fire in Oshawa, Ontario

Update: Three people were injured in a house fire that broke out early Tuesday morning.

Durham Regional Police said the three people were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Initially, Oshawa Fire said one person was hurt.

As of 8 a.m., Bloor Street East was closed in both directions from Albert Street and the Highway 401 ramp. The ramp is still accessible.

One person was injured in a house fire in Oshawa early Tuesday morning.

Just after 4 a.m., Oshawa Fire said crews were battling a structure fire in the Bloor Street East and Simcoe Street South area.

One resident was removed from the home and was in the care of Durham Paramedics, Oshawa Fire said.

There was no further information on the condition of the resident.

Photos from the scene show flames shooting out of a home near the Tim Hortons on Bloor Street.

Bloor Street was closed between Ritson off-ramp to Simcoe Street, according to a post on social media.

Oshawa Fire asked people to avoid the area.
