Police have charged two men and a teenage girl on first-degree murder charges in the death of Devon Patten, bringing the total number of people charged in his murder to five.

Durham Police found Patten, 18, dead from multiple gunshot wounds in his home on Pentland Street in Oshawa in August 2019. It was the sixth murder of the year.

More than two years later, police arrested Ramanujan Ratnavel, 22, and an 18-year-old man, charging both with first-degree murder. The Youth Criminal Justice Act protects the 18-year-old’s identity because he was 16 at the time of the murder.

Today police announced the arrest of three more suspects. Tyrone Wilson, 22, from Toronto, Micheal Galloway, 20 from Hamilton, and a 17-year-old girl from Pickering. They all face charges of first-degree murder.

People with information can call Detective Mamers or Detective Alves of the Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5247.
