Three Hamilton teens arrested, charged in connection to armed variety store robberies: Police

Three Hamilton teens have been arrested and charged in connection to a series of armed commercial robberies in the city’s downtown core.

According to Hamilton Police, on Nov. 25, a variety store in the area of King Street W and Caroline was robbed by two suspects, one of which was armed with a gun and the other with a large knife.

Then again on Nov. 30, police said two youths with similar descriptions as the previously mentioned robbery, one armed with a knife, reportedly entered a variety store in the area of Main Street East and Victoria Avenue.

Investigators from the Hamilton Police Break Enter and Robbery Unit took carriage of the investigation and were able to identify three suspects involved in the planning and execution of the robberies.

Two 14-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy from Hamilton were subsequently arrested and now face numerous charges.
