Three Hamilton residents face drug charges following hotel room raid

Three people are facing drugs and weapons charges after Hamilton Police raided a hotel room in the city’s downtown, police said Thursday (April 16).

Three people are facing drugs and weapons charges after Hamilton Police raided a hotel room in the city’s downtown, police said Thursday (April 16).

On Wednesday, shortly after 12:15 p.m., police say officers conducted surveillance in the area of the Budget Inn at 737 King St. E.

Police noticed behaviours that they say is indicative of drug trafficking taking place inside two hotel rooms.

Officers from Investigative Units worked together to execute search warrants within the rooms and, as a result, cash, drugs and several knives were seized and three people were arrested.

  • Cocaine (approx. street value $2560.00)
  • Pills – (drug analysis required)
  • Cash – $2985.00
  • Butterfly knife
  • Flick knife

Three Hamilton residents are facing drugs and weapons charges and failure to comply orders. Two women, one 58 years old, the other 41, and one man, 26, were arrested.
