Three charged in Pickering shooting, including the victim, after drugs, $20K seized in police raid

Three people are facing a collective 25 charges in connection to the shooting in Pickering last weekend, including the victim, after a police raid conducted in the city.

A 35-year old Pickering man was found suffering gunshot wounds in a residential driveway around 2:30 p.m. Sunday March 6 after a drive-by shooting. He was rushed to hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening wounds.

Police later found a burned-out car in Toronto they believe to be the one driven in the shooting. As of the update on March 7, the Forensics Identification Unit continued to investigate the vehicle.

Investigators executed a search warrant that day on Pickering’s Altona Road. Police say they found four kg of cannabis, 3.5 kg of cocaine, ammunition and $20,000 Canadian.

The victim, 35, a Pickering woman, 57, and a Brock Township woman, 28, have been arrested and charged with 25 offenses between them including; possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of ammunition, careless storage of ammunition, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and unlicensed possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon.
