Stolen car in Clarington results in charges for Brampton man, two others

Three people face multiple charges after police found a stolen car in Clarington.

Durham Regional Police investigators with Project Attire, an ongoing effort to tackle vehicle theft, raided a home near Taunton Road and Trulls Road, just east of Oshawa.

With the help of Halton Regional Police, investigators discovered a stolen BMW SUV as well as several programmable devices used to steal cars. They arrested three people at the home including:

  • Brooke Noftall, 25 of Toronto,
    • theft of a motor vehicle,
    • possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and
    • possession of break-in instruments.
  • Steven Chambers, 26 of Clarington
    • theft of a motor vehicle,
    • possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000,
    • possession of break-in instruments, and
    • breach of probation.
  • Clinton Hahn, 41 from Brampton
    • theft of a motor vehicle,
    • possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
    • possession of a Schedule I substance.

Noftall was released with conditions while Chambers and Hahn were held for a bail hearing.
