Three charged after Mississauga OPP seize fully loaded handguns, taser

OPP’s Mississauga detachment has laid charges after seizing multiple weapons, police said today (Aug. 11).

Officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 410 with dark tinted windows, leading to a search of the vehicle.

Police located and seized two fully loaded handguns (9mm and .40 cal) as well as a taser device.

A 19 year old from North York, 21 year old from Barrie, and 22 year old from Brampton were arrested and are facing weapons charges.

Their identities have not been shared by police at this time.
