Three Burlington residents are celebrating big lottery wins.

Chelsea Prince and Mercy Roldan matched seven out of seven numbers on their Lotto Max ticket to win the $15,231,359.10 jackpot from the Tuesday, April 13, 2021 draw.

Prince and Roldan, both finance industry workers, told OLG they met through work and have been friends ever since.

“We’ve been playing the lottery together for about eight years,” they told OLG.

Prince was shocked to discover their winnings when she checked their ticket with the OLG Lottery App.

“It said ‘Big Winner’ and I started shaking,” Prince told OLG. “I just stared at it for about two minutes trying to come to terms with it. I showed Mercy my phone screen to show her that we won and her mouth dropped open and she started to cry!”

Prince plans to purchase a new home with her share of the winnings while Roldan plans to pay for her children’s education. They would also like to take a trip when it’s safe to celebrate their win together.

The winning ticket was purchased at Super Convenience on Plains Road in Burlington.

Frederick Beadle of Burlington is also celebrating a $100,000 lottery win after matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the February 6, 2021, Lottario draw.

Beadle, a retired public servant, told OLG he has won before. “I won $2,000 on a lottery game about 30 years ago.”

“When I matched the six Encore numbers, I knew I had something, but I didn’t know what,” he told OLG.

“I brought it to the store clerk to check for me – ‘Big Winner’ popped up and I saw I won $100,000!”

Beadle called his children right away to tell them about his big win, according to OLG.

The winning ticket was purchased at Zway Quick Mart on Brant Street in Burlington.
