Thousands of Hamilton residents are without power

Thousands of Hamilton residents are dealing with a power outage Thursday (Feb. 17).
Alectra Utilities says more than 2,500 of its customers have been affected in the areas of Grays Rd to Centennial Prkwy and Queenston to Burford Rd.
The cause of the outage is “an overhead distribution problem,” according to Alectra.
Crews have been dispatched to make repairs and the estimated time for power restoration is 3 p.m.
