It looks like there will be a few more warm and sunny days before rain takes over, bringing cooler fall-like temperatures to southern Ontario.

As of today (Sept. 15), the forecast calls for clear skies and plenty of sunshine. Daytime temperatures will reach 28 C before slipping to 16 C by the evening.

Monday kicks off with fog, but it won’t last long. The skies will clear, making way for a mainly sunny day with temperatures rising to 27 C. The UV index will also climb to a high level of 6.

Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The humidex is anticipated to hit 32, making conditions very uncomfortable for some individuals.

Additionally, Health Canada says that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Clouds will move in by the evening, with fog patches returning and potentially lingering overnight. Temperatures will fall to 14 C—making it one of the chilliest nights compared to the week.

Tuesday is going to feature a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will hold at 26 C throughout the day before gradually cooling to 17 C by evening.

There will be soggy conditions on both Wednesday and Thursday, with a 30 per cent chance of rain. Daytime highs will hover between 21 C and 22 C. As night falls, temperatures will drop to 15 C, bringing another 30 per cent chance of showers.

Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of rain, though there may be occasional breaks of sunshine. Skies will begin to clear by the evening, with some cloudy periods remaining as temperatures drop to a low of 14 C.

Sunshine will return with a mix of clouds on Saturday as daytime highs reach 21 C. By evening, temperatures will cool slightly to 18 C, making it the warmest night of the week.

According to Environment Canada, it seems the rainy vibes will hit pause the following week, bringing a mix of sunshine and clouds. Daytime highs will range between 22 C to 23 C, with evening lows cooling around  14 C and 15 C. A light sweater or jacket is recommended if you plan on heading outdoors later in the evening.
