This week’s weather: Above-seasonal warmth brings a mix of sunshine and rain to southern Ontario

After frost advisories over the weekend, the week ahead promises a mixed pattern of sunshine and rain, with spring-like warmth over the first few days before temperatures get chilly.
As of today (Oct. 27), the forecast suggests a mostly sunny morning with clouds rolling in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures will reach 13 C, while brisk winds are expected to pick up around noon, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h.
By evening, skies will remain cloudy and temperatures are expected to fall to 1 C. Environment Canada has also issued an overnight frost warning for parts of southern Ontario.
Monday will start with a mix of sun and clouds, with a 30 per cent chance of morning rain. By the afternoon, 40 km/h winds could move in. Temperatures will rise to 12 C.
The skies will become partly cloudy by night, clearing up in the late evening. Temperatures will dip to a cool 6 C.
Tuesday calls for a predominately cloudy day with a 40 per cent chance of rain. Daytime highs will move up to 19 C. Skies will begin to clear toward the evening as temperatures ease down slightly, from 19 C to 16 C, marking it as the warmest night of the week.
It’s going to be bright and sunny with crystal-clear skies on Wednesday! Temperatures will soar to 24 C, not only making it the warmest day of the week but also reminding residents heading outdoors of those spring and summer vibes. Clear skies will stick around through the evening as temperatures slip to 15 C.
Thursday’s forecast brings a Halloween-worthy ambiance with cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of showers during the day. This will set the perfect spooky mood for kids anticipating trick-or-treating. Although it’ll be a warm 23 C during the day, by evening, temperatures will fall to a chilly 4 C, so bundling up might be wise for those heading out for some scary fun!
November begins with sunshine and cloudy periods on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will stay on the cooler side, with daytime highs between 9 C and 11 C, while nighttime lows will fall to 0 C.
