Residents of southern Ontario are about to get a bit of reprieve from this seemingly endless winter this weekend.
According to Environment Canada, temperatures are expected to rise to a balmy 15 degrees Celsius on Sunday (March 6) across the region.
While there’s plenty of sunshine in the forecast leading up to Sunday, the weather agency cites a 60 per cent chance of rain throughout the day.
The warmer temperatures and snowmelt, coupled with the possibility of rain, increase the threat of flooding, particularly in low-lying areas and around bodies of water.
This little glimpse of spring will not be around for long as temperatures will dip back down into freezing Sunday night and a chance of snow in the forecast for Monday.
