A newly renovated LCBO has just opened in Oakville and it’s unlike most others in the province.
The LCBO marked the grand reopening of a store at 321 Cornwall Road on Monday, which is south of Trafalgar Road and the Queen Elizabeth Way.
The LCBO said it is one of only four “urban super destination” stores in Ontario.
“Compared to a typical LCBO location, these stores are significantly larger with expanded layouts and special sections,” an LCBO spokesperson told INsauga.com.
That includes spirit and/or vintage tasting bars, vintages rare and collectible rooms, new release product areas, as well as gifting and food and drink sections.
“They also carry a wider selection of product, especially when it comes to vintages releases and special local offerings,” the spokesperson said.
“For the customer, these stores offer a truly unique experience for discovery and engagement, including more interactive opportunities like tastings and space for pop-up shops.”
The Oakville location marks the first urban super destination outside of Toronto. The other three are located in the areas of Yonge and Summerhill, Bloor and Royal York, and Eglinton and Laird.
The Oakville store has nearly 4,000 square feet of selling space and an assortment of over 1,700 products.
Complimentary tastings along with food pairings are available for customers throughout the grand reopening on Monday.
The store is now open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, as well as 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
