With the recent COVID-19 outbreak, which accelerated at such a rapid pace, it was no surprise when the province announced that it was suffering a shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Following the announcement that the shortage of supplies in Ontario got very low, Premier Doug Ford delivered some positive news last week stating that things were starting to come together.
During this time, we have also seen the community coming together to help in any way possible.
This includes Stitch-It Clothing Alterations & Dry Cleaning in Shoppers World Brampton (SWB), who announced that they will be utilizing their location to produce surgical-grade fabric masks to help in the fight against COVID-19.
Beginning today, (April 13), The SWB store will aim to produce 180 masks per day and the masks will be sold to local businesses and organizations.
According to their announcement on Instagram, their national goal is to produce 78,000 masks “in an attempt to bolster the country’s dwindling mask supply.”
“We’re proud of our SWB family for doing their part to help during the COVID-19 situation,” concluded their post.
