This banking scam could get a hold of your personal info in Mississauga and Brampton

It’s a busy week for scammers.

Another scam text is currently making the rounds, with this one alleging to be from Scotiabank. The text provides a link to “complete a security process.”

A local resident says she got the text, which included her phone number in the message, shortly after ordering food on a restaurant’s website.

The scam in question looks like this:

As with all scams, residents are advised to avoid clicking suspicious links and providing any personal data.
