Thirty school bus routes cancelled; 14 in Ajax

Thirty school bus routes in Durham Region have been cancelled today (May 9) due to driver shortages, almost half of those in Ajax.

There are cancelled routes at six different Ajax schools, including Bolton Falby, Carruthers Creek, Rosemary Brown, Lincoln Avenue and St. Parick elementary schools and Pickering High School.

Other schools looking at cancellations include Uxbridge Public, Scott Central and Joseph Gould in Uxbridge; Donald Wilson and Father Leo Austin high schools in Whitby; Dunbarton and St. Mary high schools and Elizabeth Phin elementary in Pickering; and Clarington Central Secondary in Bowmanville.
