Parents of kids taking the bus to schools served by the Durham public and catholic school boards can rejoice – there are zero cancellations in the system Wednesday and only three delays.

Those living in Clarington with kids in the Kawartha Pine Ridge and Peterborough, Victoria, Northumberland and Clarington Catholic School boards are faced with another reality, however.

Plagued by a driver shortage problem now in its third month, there are another 30 cancellations in Clarington, with six cancellations affecting six schools served by Century Transport and 24 route cancellations affecting seven schools served by First Student.

Schools looking at bus cancellations today (March 8) are Duke of Cambridge, The Pines, Newcastle, Orono, Charles Bowman, Waverly and Clarington Central Intermediate public elementary schools; Clarington Central, Clarke and Bowmanville public high schools; St. Joseph and Holy Family Catholic elementary schools; and St. Stephen Catholic High School.
