Thirty-four new COVID-19 cases in Durham – Ajax (8), Oshawa (7) and Clarington (6) report the highest number of the virus

The day after Durham Region reported just 15 new COVID-19 cases that number has more than doubled to 34.

The good news from Tuesday’s numbers from Durham Region’s Health Department is there are no deaths. The Region has suffered through four deaths since last Friday.

Six people are in hospital with the virus and one person is in ICU.

Ajax (8) and Oshawa (7) contributed nearly half of the new cases Tuesday. Clarington reported six new cases and Pickering and Whitby each reported five.

There are 25 active cases in the region.
