Thirteen schools – six each in Oshawa and Ajax – dealing with bus cancellations

School bus cancellations are up a bit today (June 1), with a total of 22 routes affecting 13 schools in five communities cancelled.

Oshawa and Ajax students, parents and teachers are looking at cancelled routes affecting three schools each, with Paul Dwyer and RS McLaughlin high schools and St. Joseph elementary (Oshawa) and Bolton Falby, St. Bernadette and Ajax High School (Ajax) all dealing with the effects of a driver shortage that has plagued schools in Durham all year.

Other schools affected are Uxbridge Secondary and Greenwood Public in Uxbridge; Holy Trinity, The Pines Intermediate, Clarke High and St. Francis of Assisi (Clarington); and William Dunbar in Pickering.

Last day of school is June 27.
