Thirteen flights with COVID-19 reported at Pearson Airport over past week

The federal government has reported a number of flights that arrived at or departed from Pearson International Airport with confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the past week.

From December 27 to January 2 there were six domestic flights, including two that arrived at Pearson and four that departed from Pearson.

There were seven international flights, the majority of which arrived at Pearson from abroad on December 27 and 28.

In Hamilton, one affected flight landed at Hamilton International Airport from Abbotsford, BC on December 27.

Several rows were affected on each flight:

Passengers who were sitting in the affected rows (or all passengers on the flight if rows aren’t specified) are advised to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and contact public health if they start showing symptoms of the virus.

Residents are reminded to quarantine for 14 days after returning to Canada from travel abroad.
