A man is facing his third arrest for drunk driving in just over a year.
Peel Regional Police reported the arrest shortly before 6 p.m. on March 26. They said they had arrested the unidentified driver following several complaints from members of the community.
When they pulled the man over, he used a breathalyzer and he blew in at four times the legal limit. This was his third impaired arrest in 14 months.
Police thanked the residents who called to report the driver’s erratic behaviour, and encouraged others to report suspected drunk drivers to 911.
“Thanks to calls from concerned members of our community, our officers were able to locate and safely arrest this impaired driver,” Peel Police Road Safety Services wrote, “With the end to Impaired Driving Awareness Week on our minds, we thank you for this continued collaboration to keep our roads safe.”
