Mississauga has a lively lineup of events this weekend, offering something for everyone. Whether you’re into outdoor adventures, cultural festivals or family-friendly activities, there’s always a variety of experiences to enjoy. Here’s a look at what’s in store from Sept. 13 to 15:


September 13

Sauga City Community Celebration

Join the community for two hours of music, dancing, and art. Performances by Five & Ten and Carla & The Latintrain will accompany a Latin dance lesson from Gessells and an art and word activation led by Ylana Stelling and Verobiblio.

Mississauga Memories – Arts on the Credit

The event celebrates the city’s rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant community over the past five decades. The exhibit features works by local artists inspired by their time in Mississauga. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

Paranormal Cirque

Paranormal Cirque invites adults into a dark, mysterious world under the big black and red tent. Featuring acrobats, illusionists, and unusual creatures, the show blends circus, theatre and cabaret. With a mix of fear and excitement, it offers a unique experience that moves between the realms of fantasy and nightmare.

September 14

Philippine Festival Mississauga

Now in its 13th year, this festival celebrates fun and diversity west of the Greater Toronto Area. The two-day event at Mississauga Celebration Square features Filipino food, music, arts, and culture. Events are weather-dependent and subject to change.

CMAGIC5 (Performing at the Phillippine Festival) 

CMAGIC5, known as ‘C,’ is a Toronto-based singer, songwriter, musician and recording artist. She creates modern power-pop soundtracks that capture the highs and lows of coming-of-age. Her catchy pop-punk anthems and soulful vocals invite listeners to channel their “main character energy.”

Her single “Dancing on my Heart” gained over 26 million views on TikTok and topped Twitter’s trending hashtags upon release.

Mississauga Literary Festival

Engage with authors through panels, presentations, or writing workshops. This is a drop-in event, but registration provides access to program updates leading up to the festival.

Port Credit Farmers’ Market

Discover artisanal fare and unique gifts as you stroll along the scenic lakeshore. Make a day of it by exploring nearby parks and visiting the iconic Port Credit Lighthouse.

Mississauga Women’s Expo 2024

The 1st Annual Mississauga Women’s Expo will take place in Port Credit. It will focus on local women entrepreneurs and include opportunities for community connection and recognition of business talents.

Toronto Fall Franchise Show

The event connects businesses with potential new owners, offering opportunities for franchise growth in the region.

Applewood Community Ride

Explore Applewood by biking through trails, parks and neighborhood streets, starting at Garnetwood Park. With routes from 8 km to 16 km, you’ll ride along the Etobicoke Creek on cycling-friendly roads and paths.

Art in the Park 2024

This two-day event features art, refreshments and live performances. For the first time, emerging artists will be vendors at White Studio, alongside established artists, showcasing and selling their work. The event will take place rain or shine.

September 15

Lakeview Farmers Market

Held at the picturesque Small Arms Inspection Building, this community event showcases local talent through food, art, and craftsmanship. Visitors can explore displays featuring unique trinkets and beautiful creations from local artisans.
