Thieves smash windows to rob downtown Whitby jewelry store

Thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry was stolen from a downtown Whitby jewelry store last Sunday in an early morning robbery.
Durham Police say the thieve(s) gained entry to the Brock Street South store by smashing out the windows at approximately 2 a.m. Rings, watches and necklaces were among the pieces stolen.
No photos or description of the suspects are available and investigators have no suspects.
