Transforming a historic building can produce amazing results as seen in some renovated churches for sale in Ontario now.

As church populations dwindle, many buildings are transformed into homes or apartments.

Real estate brokerage Zoocasa compiled a list of renovated churches for sale in Canada.

“Across Canada, old churches are getting a new lease on life as extraordinary homes filled with beauty, character, and charm,” Zoocasa noted. “These converted churches offer everything from stunning architectural details like arched windows and vaulted ceilings to spacious open floor plans perfect for modern living.”

Here are three properties for sale now in Ontario:

This three-bedroom and three-bathroom former church has over 3,600 finished square feet and more than 80 feet of river frontage.

Features include stained glass windows, wood floors and soaring cathedral ceilings throughout. There are two gas fireplaces. The open-concept primary bedroom has its own balcony.

This place is cheaper than a Toronto condo, listed at $590,000.
