There is a new way to get concert and events tickets in Canada.
The Royal Bank of Canada and Live Nation Canada announced on Wednesday that Avion Rewards members can use their points for tickets to events on Ticketmaster.ca.
Members are now able to connect their accounts to Ticketmaster.ca and use their points, a press release said. Most events are eligible, but points cannot be used towards verified resale tickets.
As little as one cent or up to $500 worth of Avion points can be used per day for eligible ticket purchases.
They can be used to cover the full ticket price or in combination with another payment method.

“This partnership expands how our members experience their rewards,” said Vinita Savani, the executive vice president of cards and loyalty at RBC.
“By connecting Avion Rewards directly to Ticketmaster.ca, we’re providing seamless access to Canada’s biggest concerts, festivals and live events.”
RBC noted that it recently expanded its partnership with Live Nation. Budweiser Stage in Toronto was renamed RBC Amphitheatre, with the opening night of the venue happening on May 21.
“By enabling Avion Rewards members to use their points for tickets on Ticketmaster.ca, we’re making it easier than ever for fans to experience incredible live shows while getting real value from their loyalty program,” said Melissa Bubb-Clarke, the chief commercial officer of Live Nation Canada.
