There is a beer crawl in east Hamilton this weekend

Ottawa St. N. will be an especially hoppy place on Friday night in Hamilton.
Six craft brewers and three bars are teaming up to hold a beer crawl along the trendy street in the east end, from 5 till 11 p.m. on Aug. 19. Registration is free, and each location will have two breweries offering both samples and “full pours.”
The crawl will stop at the Ottawa Market (204 Ottawa N.), The Argyle (304 Ottawa N.) and Endless Bar and Bottle Shop (1203 Cannon St. E.). The half-dozen breweries offering a taste of their wares include Brewers Black Bird; Clifford Brewing; Collective Arts; Fairweather; Grain and Grit; and Merit Brewing.
The crawl is organized by MRKTBOX Events, which organizes social gatherings at the Ottawa, Dundurn and Strathcona food hubs in the lower city. Organizers are also promising an “eye-spy trivia challenge” on Friday night.
While any participant is responsible for their own enjoyment and getting home safely, a beer or pub crawl does offer a chance for togetherness. Or, as fictional bartender Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) once put it in a “New Girl” episode, “The crawl is for all!”
