The Easter long weekend weather forecast for southern Ontario

April 18 Weather: Rain, fog and grey skies to dominate Southern Ontario

If you plan on spending some time outdoors this upcoming long weekend, you might be relieved to hear that it won’t be nearly as cold as last weekend. 

But while it won’t be an unusually warm weekend, the forecast does not currently call for snow, rain, or high winds.

According to Environment Canada, residents enjoying the Easter long weekend in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton (Oakville, Burlington and Milton) will get to experience mild temperatures and some sunshine.

The forecast calls for a high of 7 C on Good Friday (March 29), a high of 9 on Saturday, March 30, and a high of 7 on Easter Sunday (March 31). Temperatures will drop a bit on Easter Monday (April 1), with a high of 4 C in the forecast for the Halton and Peel regions. 

Environment Canada is calling for sun on all three days, with some cloudiness on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Monday will be overcast, according to the forecast. 

The weather will be similar in Hamilton, with Environment Canada calling for highs of 6 C on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

In Niagara Falls, highs of 7 C, 9 C, and 6 C are expected from Friday through Sunday, with a high of 4 C expected on Monday. 

In Durham, residents of Oshawa, Pickering, Whitby and other municipalities can expect similar temperatures, with a high of 6 C on Good Friday, 8 C on Saturday, 6 C on Sunday and 4 C on Monday.
