Tex-Mex chain opening new location at Pickering City Centre

Chipotle Mexican Grill’s grand expansion in Ontario is continuing, with the Tex-Mex restaurant chain welcoming customers in Pickering Tuesday, its second location in Durham Region after opening on Taunton Road in Whitby last November.

The Pickering location will be at 1355 Kingston Road at the Shops of Pickering City Centre, bringing the franchise total to nearly 50 restaurants in Ontario.

A third location in Durham is scheduled to open in Ajax and Durham Centre later this year.

The new location in Pickering will create approximately 30 local jobs and introduces residents to Chipotle’s menu of burritos, bowls, salads, tacos and quesadillas, including its latest limited-time offering, Chicken al Pastor.

To celebrate opening day, the first 50 guests in line will receive a complimentary Chipotle-branded speaker. Guests can also explore Chipotle’s High Protein Menu, featuring items ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein.

Chipotle Pickering will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
